I first played Mah Jong decades ago, and liked the game very much. In 2008 (give or take a year or two), a Games Meetup in Boston offered an opportunity for beginners to learn the game. I was fortunate to have a great teacher that evening, and happily found that I still loved Mah Jong! When we moved to Pittsburgh, I started a Mah Jong meetup which has proven to be very successful. I have played many (many!) games, and have taught scores of players how to play.
I offer beginner lessons and Mah Jong 102 (exploring the card and working on selecting hands). I teach beginner lessons at the Tuesday Meetup in Bakery Square, and also enjoy teaching private classes.
My teaching style is friendly and supportive. Mah Jong is a wonderful game… and when I introduce you to Mah Jong, I want you to love the game as much as I do!
